Which type of Rit Dye should I use for my project?
It depends on your fabric content. Use Rit All-Purpose Dye for natural fibers like cotton, wool, silk, and linen. For synthetic fabrics containing more than 35% polyester, acrylic, or acetate, use Rit DyeMore for Synthetics.
How long does shipping take for my order?
Standard shipping typically takes 3-5 business days within the continental US. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout if you need your color solutions sooner for a specific project.
What is your return policy for opened dye products?
Due to the nature of the product, we can only accept returns on unopened and sealed bottles or boxes within 30 days of purchase. Used or opened dyes are not eligible for return.
Will Rit Dye stain my washing machine?
No, Rit Dye will not permanently stain your machine if you follow the proper cleaning instructions. After dyeing, run a 'clean' cycle with hot water and one cup of chlorine bleach to remove any residual pigment.
Do I need to use a fixative after dyeing?
While not mandatory for all projects, we highly recommend using Rit ColorStay Dye Fixative immediately after dyeing to reduce fading, prevent bleeding, and keep your colors vibrant for longer.
